Mrs. Kanta Jangid is the first woman IPS officer from her community, belonging to the 2018 batch of the Indian Police Service.

Respected Mrs. Kanta Jangid appeared in the Civil Services Examination 2017 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The written exam was held in October-November 2017 and based on the results of the personality test (interview) conducted between February and April 2018, the results were declared. In this, Mrs. Kanta Jangid, daughter of Srimadhopur town, was selected and secured the 632nd All India Rank.

At the time of her selection, she was serving as a BDO (Block Development Officer) in Ratangarh. Her husband, Mr. Pramod Jangid, was working as an engineer in Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and is now possibly posted in Noida.

Her father, Mr. Suresh Jangid, is a businessman, while her mother, Mrs. Kamla Devi, is a homemaker. Without joining any coaching institute, Mrs. Kanta Jangid prepared for the civil services examination while continuing in her government job.

She holds a master’s degree (M.A.) and M.Phil in English Literature. With a strong determination and a clear goal of becoming an IAS officer, she reached close to her target and made the entire community and nation proud. Through her sense of duty, unwavering dedication, and hard work, she achieved the esteemed position of an IPS officer.

Today, Kanta Jangid stands as an inspiration and role model for the younger generation.
