1. Introduction

Shri Ram Chandra (Ram Chand) Jangra was born in 1950 in Maham village, Rohtak district of Haryana. He is a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has been actively engaged in social, political, and rural development activities for decades. 

 

In 2020, the BJP nominated him to the Rajya Sabha, strengthening the party’s base among the OBC community.

 

2. Early Political Journey

  • Began his political career with Lok Dal (Bahuguna).
  • 1987 — Contested the Assembly elections from Safidon.
  • Later joined the Haryana Vikas Party and contested elections:
  • 1991 from Maham
  • 2004 from Karnal
  • Eventually joined the BJP and remained active in the party’s organisational work.
