Amit Kumar Jangra – An Inspiration on the Path of Social Service

 

Introduction

Amit Kumar Jangra is a passionate social worker who has devoted his life to supporting and uplifting underprivileged and marginalized communities. He works tirelessly to ensure that vulnerable sections of society not only receive the assistance they need but also gain the dignity and opportunity to be part of the mainstream. His unwavering dedication and continuous efforts have earned him recognition as a committed changemaker in the field of social welfare.

Education & Professional Qualifications

Amit holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from IGNOU, New Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree from Kurukshetra University. He completed his 10th and 12th grades under the HBSE Board. To strengthen his professional skills, he earned a JBT diploma from DIET, Panipat, and a one-year diploma in Computer Applications from RIIT, Panipat. He has also cleared the HTET and CTET examinations, reflecting his competence in the field of education.

Mission & Objective

Amit’s mission is to promote equality and compassion in society. He focuses on empowering the poor, laborers, and persons with disabilities by providing them with access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for dignified living. He believes that with planned efforts and collective participation, a society free from discrimination can be built.

Journey in Social Work

Amit’s journey in social service began in 2010 as a poet with Ankan Sahitya Manch, where his writings addressed social evils and inspired change. Since then, he has actively contributed through various organizations and initiatives—

 

Vikalang Utthan Samiti, Panipat (2011): Worked extensively to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities.

NIFAA (National Integrated Forum of Artists & Activists): As Secretary of the Panipat branch, he successfully organized blood donation drives, women & child health camps, and several other welfare programs.

Blood Donation Campaigns: Played a leading role in organizing over 100 blood donation camps, saving countless lives.

Inspiring Journey: During his Kashmir to Kanyakumari bike ride, he interacted with persons with disabilities across India, motivating them to overcome challenges and move forward.

Author: In his book Safar Hoslon Ka (“Journey of Courage”), Amit shares his travel experiences and life lessons, encouraging readers to turn struggles into stepping stones for success.
