Saurabh Jangra — From Struggle to Success
Saurabh Jangra is an emerging boxer of approximately 14 years of age. His father, Mr. Pawan Jangra, is a 10th-pass driver, while his mother, Mrs. Reena Devi, is 12th-pass. Coming from a modest family background, Saurabh has begun to make a mark in the field of boxing through his hard work, dedication, and talent.
Saurabh’s boxing journey began at the age of around 11 after an unexpected incident. He had gone with his friends to MS Sports Academy to watch the boxing ring, where his friends pushed him into the ring and he was beaten up. When he returned home with a swollen face, his family asked what had happened. After learning about the incident, Saurabh decided that he would learn boxing and one day prove himself in the same ring. What began as an unfortunate incident became the inspiration that changed his life.
For the past three years, Saurabh has been regularly training at MS Boxing Sports Training Institute, Aryanagar Village, Hisar. During this journey, he has performed remarkably in the 58th Haryana State School Competition, Youth Boxing Association Hisar, and District Elementary School Tournament, Hisar. He has also won a Gold Medal at the state level.
One of Saurabh’s biggest achievements came at the 69th National Boxing Championship for Boys Under 14, held in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, where he won a Bronze Medal. His Team Manager and Coach, Mr. Mewa Singh Verma, believes that Saurabh has tremendous potential to achieve success at the national and international levels in the future.
Saurabh’s achievements are the result of his hard work, along with the support of his parents and the guidance of his coach, Mr. Mewa Singh Verma, and trainer, Mr. Sachin Kayat. Saurabh and his parents express their heartfelt gratitude to both of them for their continuous guidance and support.
The entire team of Vishwakarma Shakti Sangh Foundation (VSSF) congratulates Saurabh Jangra on his outstanding achievement and wishes him a bright and successful future. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to his parents, coach, and trainer for their valuable contribution to his journey.
“The ring where Saurabh once faced a defeat became the very stage where he began building his identity.”
